1. It says sensor. Is there a way to adjust the settings so that it’s closed after a certain amount of time? 

It’s not a sensor and it’s not a adjustable and it doesn’t work on heavy doors

2.Can i use it outside?

Yes you can. I have one outside on my glass patio door

3.How much time does it give you?

If you mean the time between opening the door and walking out, it gives a short time, but enough to walk away before closing; however, you can remove the hook to stop the closer.

4.will it work on barn doors?

If the door is heavy it’s not gonna work because it’s only works in very light doors like a room door a patio door is not gonna work on it

5. Is it safe for 2-3 hours ?

Water is totally safe for long time. After drinking water add on more water in bottle for next drink and vice versa.
